The ever passing moment is not kind.
As you move through time and space, its an ephemera, ever fleeting
Be sure to stop and soak in the moment as much as you can
Enjoy where you are, who you're with, and what you're doing
You never really know when you won't get that opportunity again
Ephemera is a one of a kind. It's an experimental music project, a reflection on time, space, and the moments you move through that weave your life together. Always a choice to look forward, behind, or live in the now. I produced this while recovering and healing from a pretty traumatic knee injury and I sunk myself into this music as an outlet. Faced with a long awaited summer fading in front of me, uncertainty of what pieces of my life I'm able to carry with me forward, I dove head in and spent my time thinking, creating, and being present in my present.
The album had no specific intentions during its creation, but, is a very chill and laid back listen. It's about half ambient music as it is half alternative, indie, post/psych rock, shoegaze, and emo influenced. There are field recordings for you to keep the sounds of late summer 2025 with you for as long as you please. This is my first album, and I'm really excited to be able to share this with the world. As mentioned previously, this is fully self produced so at this time album copies and numbers are pretty limited.
Please feel free to reach out to me for any questions, concerns, or requests and I will do my best.
I've always loved music, have kept my playing and my noise to myself, but it feels good to finally be free. Even if one other person finds joy from this, I'm over the moon.
Thank you and enjoy,
-Amateur Owl / Kyle
